T. Gunny Harboe
Architect Gunny Harboe heads an architecture firm specializing in historic preservation and sustainable design. With his decided fondness for treasures of the past, he is the driving force behind the heralded restorations of several of Chicago’s iconic structures, including the Rookery and Reliance Building, Mies van der Rohe’s S.R. Crown Hall at IIT, and Louis Sullivan’s Carson Pirie Scott and Company Building.
“Preserving our collective cultural heritage is important, particularly in Chicago, where it has international significance. We need to give it a life that extends beyond ourselves.”
