Dick Simpson, Ph.D., M.Div., Chairman of the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, is the stuff of living legend in local political circles. During the turbulent political tides that rocked Chicago, specifically, from 1975-1989, he led the opposition bloc in the Chicago City Council. Among his 20 book titles is Rogues, Rebels and Rubber Stamps: The Politics of the Chicago City Council from 1863 to the Present.
